Rotating a PDF so it actually stays rotated
Rotating a page on screen in a viewer is temporary — reopen the file and it's sideways again. To rotate a PDF permanently, the rotation has to be written into each page's settings. This tool uses pdf-lib to do exactly that, inside your browser tab, so the corrected file looks right everywhere. Your document is never uploaded.
Which direction?
- 90° clockwise — for a page scanned with the top on the left.
- 90° counter-clockwise — for a page scanned with the top on the right.
- 180° — for a page that came out upside down.
Rotate everything, or just some pages
Leave the pages box blank to rotate the whole document. To fix only certain pages — say a couple of landscape charts in a
portrait report — enter them as 2, 5-7. Need to remove a page instead?
Use Delete Pages.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Rotation is applied by pdf-lib inside your browser tab. The file never leaves your device, and it works with Wi-Fi off after the page loads.
Will the rotation stick when I reopen the file?
Yes. The rotation is written into the PDF's page settings, so it stays rotated in every viewer — not just on screen.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Leave the range blank to rotate every page, or enter pages like 2, 5-7 to rotate just those.
Can I rotate an encrypted PDF?
Only if it has no open password. Remove the password first, then rotate.
